Support & Warranty

We stand behind every install and stay your direct contact afterward. Here is how support works once the job is done.

After the install

One Number, Long After the Job Wraps

After installation, we train you on your new systems. And we don't stop there: quick assistance is a phone call away, long after the job wraps. If the music drops or a scene stops working, you call the same number you called at the start.

Response Times

We return service requests within one business day, usually the same day. Remote fixes on supported systems often happen on that first call. When a visit is needed, we schedule it as soon as we can. A full outage (no internet, no TV, no music in the house) goes to the front of the line. Requests made after hours, on weekends or on holidays are picked up the next business day.

How we help

Remote and On-Site Support

After install, we can help remotely on supported platforms when something drops, and come on-site when the problem needs hands on the gear.

SoulCraft Services

SoulCraft Services covers day-to-day support: questions, fixes and adjustments to the systems we installed.

Network Care

Network Care is there if you want an ongoing support plan for your Wi-Fi and network, rather than a full redesign. See networking and Wi-Fi.

Warranty

Warranty Coverage

90-Day Workmanship Warranty

For 90 days from completion, we fix anything that goes wrong because of our work, at no charge for labor or the trip. That covers the cable we ran and terminated, mounts and brackets we hung, and the programming and settings we set up at handoff.

Manufacturer Warranty Help

We honor manufacturer warranties and handle the claim with the manufacturer for you. Our labor and trip charges to diagnose, remove and reinstall a failed product are billed at our standard rates, unless the failure comes from a SoulCraft workmanship error within the 90-day workmanship warranty.

What Is Not Covered

  • Power surges, lightning, water, pests, accidents, misuse or acts of God
  • Internet provider outages, cloud or app service changes, and manufacturer firmware bugs
  • Equipment or wiring we did not install, and work changed by others after we finish
  • Drywall, paint and finish repairs, unless your proposal says otherwise
  • Batteries and other normal wear items

After 90 days, service is billed at our standard rates, or covered by a support plan if you have one. Your written proposal, work order or contract sets the scope and terms for your project. If it says something different from this page, the signed agreement controls.

Equipment is covered by each manufacturer's own warranty. For example, the AMP Lighting landscape fixtures we install are backed by lifetime manufacturer warranties. We pick brands we'd put in our own homes, partly because they hold up. See the brands we install.

For builders

Keeping Calls Off Your Warranty List

When we wire and finish a home, we set up the gear, show the homeowners how it works and stay their contact for questions and service. They call us directly, which keeps those calls off your warranty list. See working with a low-voltage partner.

Type of work
Project photos (optional, but they help a lot)

Photos help us a lot. If you want the fastest, most accurate quote, send photos of the spaces or equipment you're asking about: the room, the wall where the TV goes, your current rack or router, the outside of the house.

Up to 15 photos, 25 MB each. iPhone (HEIC) photos are fine.

    Floor plans (optional)

If you have floor plans, send them. Plans let us do much more, and they often give us a near-instant idea of scope. Large files are fine.
