The Job

\n

The scope was a dimmer on the recessed lighting in four rooms, a hub, and setup so the lights run from the Lutron app and show up in Apple Home next to everything else. The proposal also covered getting a few WiZ lamp bulbs that had dropped offline working again.

\n

The existing switches were replaced where they were. The photo shows one of the switch plates from the walk-through, before the work.

What we installed

Equipment and Where It Went

  • Dining room, living room and upstairs bedroom: one Lutron Caséta Diva smart dimmer (DVRF-6L) in each, on the recessed lighting.
  • Foyer: a Diva dimmer plus a Caséta accessory switch (DVRF-AS), so the foyer lights can be controlled from either end. The accessory switch turns the lights on and off. Dimming happens at the dimmer or in the app.
  • Equipment cabinet: a Caséta Smart Bridge PRO, plugged into the router. It connects every dimmer to the Lutron app and to Apple Home.
  • WiZ lamps: an hour spent getting the existing bulbs back online and reconnected to their own app.
Setup

Programming

Setup covered the Lutron account, naming every light, and a walk-through of the Lutron app and Apple Home. Each dimmer got a short programming pass in addition to the hub setup.

Type of work
Project photos (optional, but they help a lot)

Photos help us a lot. If you want the fastest, most accurate quote, send photos of the spaces or equipment you're asking about: the room, the wall where the TV goes, your current rack or router, the outside of the house.

Up to 15 photos, 25 MB each. iPhone (HEIC) photos are fine.

    Floor plans (optional)

If you have floor plans, send them. Plans let us do much more, and they often give us a near-instant idea of scope. Large files are fine.
