Home Technology for Buckhead Homes

SoulCraft Systems installs home theaters, whole home audio, Lutron lighting and shades, Wi-Fi and security cameras in Buckhead, along with the low-voltage prewire behind them. We are an Atlanta company, founded here in 2010, and we hold Georgia Low Voltage-Telecommunication License LVT305289. Call (404) 590-7685.

Buckhead houses tend to be large, with several floors, a finished basement, a pool area and sometimes a guest house or carriage house. That mix makes the work harder and the planning more important: music needs to reach the terrace, the Wi-Fi has to cover the basement theater and the pool house, and the lighting should be run from a few keypads, not a wall of switches.

What we install

Services for Buckhead Homes

Dedicated theaters and media rooms

A Buckhead basement is often the right spot for a dedicated theater: no windows, room for two rows of seats, and space for the equipment rack. We plan the screen size against the seating distance, the speaker layout, lighting scenes and acoustic treatment, and theater seating consultation is included. Justin's background is theater work, including high-end projects in Los Angeles. See home theaters and media rooms.

Whole home audio, inside and out

We use Sonance in-ceiling and in-wall speakers that sit flush and paint to match the ceiling, Sonance Mariner speakers for the terrace and pool deck, and Sonos for control. Each room can play its own music or join the rest. See whole home audio and outdoor entertainment.

Lutron lighting and motorized shades

Large windows and southern exposure are common in Buckhead. Lutron motorized shades cut glare and heat on a schedule, and they move together with the lights when you press Goodnight. On a full house we usually recommend RadioRA 3 or HomeWorks. See lighting and shades.

Networks that cover the whole property

Brick, plaster and long distances to a pool house or detached garage defeat a single router. We run wired access points to the places that need them, and every other system on this page runs on that network. See networking and Wi-Fi.

Cameras, doorbells and TVs

Ring cameras and doorbells placed to cover gates, drives and doors, and TVs mounted with the wiring out of sight. See security cameras and TV and surround sound.

Renovations and new builds

Renovating or Building in Buckhead

A lot of Buckhead work is renovation: a kitchen opened up, a basement finished, a teardown rebuilt. Whenever walls or ceilings are open, that is the time to run speaker, network, camera and shade wire. Once drywall is up, the same work costs more and some speaker spots are gone for good.

On new construction we work with the builder from framing on. We mark speaker, TV, keypad, shade and access point locations on the plans, then run the prewire before insulation. Builders can see our prewire and design services. Homeowners can start with the prewire checklist.

If the walls are closed, we plan wire paths through attics and basements to keep patching small, and we will tell you when a wireless product is the better answer.

Planning

What to Decide Before We Wire a Buckhead Home

A few decisions shape everything else, so we ask about them on the first walk-through.

Where the equipment lives

Theater, audio and network gear needs a rack in a closet or basement room with power and ventilation. Picking that spot early keeps wire runs short and the gear out of sight.

Which rooms get music

Kitchen, family room, primary suite and terrace are the usual start. Speaker wire to a room you might want later costs little at prewire and a lot after drywall.

How much lighting control

A few rooms on Caséta, or the whole house on RadioRA 3 or HomeWorks with keypads in place of switch banks. The answer decides the wiring and the electrician's scope.

Buckhead, Chastain Park and the Rest of North Atlanta

We work across Buckhead and its neighborhoods, including the area around Chastain Park, and in nearby Sandy Springs and Brookhaven. See our Atlanta service area page for the full list.

If your family also has a place at Lake Burton or in Highlands or Cashiers, our North Georgia team works there too. We can set both houses up the same way, so the app and the keypads work the same at both.

Call or fill out the estimate form below. Photos of the room, the wall where the TV goes or your current equipment rack let us give a closer number, and floor plans help most of all. We then walk the house and send a written proposal. After install, you keep calling the same number for support.

Type of work
Project photos (optional, but they help a lot)

Photos help us a lot. If you want the fastest, most accurate quote, send photos of the spaces or equipment you're asking about: the room, the wall where the TV goes, your current rack or router, the outside of the house.

Up to 15 photos, 25 MB each. iPhone (HEIC) photos are fine.

    Floor plans (optional)

If you have floor plans, send them. Plans let us do much more, and they often give us a near-instant idea of scope. Large files are fine.
