Whole-Home AV in a Highlands, NC New Build

This is a new house in Highlands. The scope is whole-home AV, the network, cameras and motorized shade prewire. A trim-out punch list was opened on October 29, 2026 and had not been closed when these photos were taken. This page describes that work. It does not call the house complete.

TV locations were prewired in the living room, on the porch, in the game room, in the office and bunk room, in the sitting room and in bedroom 1. The sitting room has a surround: front left and right, surround left and right, and a subwoofer. In-ceiling speakers are in the living room and the kitchen. The porch and the back deck have speakers of their own. Shade prewire is in the living room.

Wi-Fi access points are on the covered deck, the porch and at the dog wash. Cameras cover the front, the garage (the driveway and the back of the house), the covered deck and the back deck, plus a video doorbell at the front entry.

The equipment rack was being assembled in the shop. Box labels on the amplifiers read Sonos Amp for the porch, the deck, the sitting room front and surround, the kitchen, and the living room surround.
