Cashiers

The driveway is longer than the house

Cashiers lots spread out. The house, then a guest house, then a barn or a garage, with trees and a private road between them. That is a different problem from Highlands, where the issue is often rock and a cottage cut into the slope. Here the issue is distance. SoulCraft Systems plans the links before anyone buys another mesh pod. NC license SP.FA/LV.37584. GA license LVT305289. Call (706) 982-3327.

We see this in the valley around town, up toward Sapphire, and on the larger tracts out Highway 107 and toward Lake Glenville. Glenville is not a page of ours; if the house is on that water and you want the same network plan, call and we will say whether the drive is one we make. High Hampton's side of town is cottages and inns mixed with houses. We work on the houses.

What gets installed

A wired backbone in the main house, access points for the porches, and a point-to-point hop to the outbuilding when trenching the roots is unreasonable. Starlink where the cable company stopped a half mile down the road. Cameras on the doors and the drive, on that same network, so the picture does not depend on a battery in January. See cameras.

Network Care watches the network while you are gone: $24.99 a month residential, $49.99 business. A simple refresh is two to four hours at $149 an hour plus a $50 trip charge. The core service page is networking and Wi-Fi. Cashiers as a whole is Cashiers home automation. The Highlands version of this page is Highlands networking. Read mountain home automation in Highlands and Cashiers if the network is only one piece.

FAQs

Cashiers network questions

Why is a Cashiers lot different from Highlands?
Cashiers driveways and outbuildings are usually farther apart. Highlands is steeper and rockier. The products overlap. The site plan does not.
Do you cover a barn?
Yes, with cable or a point-to-point link, planned with the house rather than added as an afterthought.
Can you watch the network while we are gone?
Network Care is $24.99 a month for a home and includes remote login help.
Who do I call?

FAQs

Questions from Highlands, NC Homeowners

Highlands overview · Home automation · Lighting · Theater design

Do you install home theaters in Highlands, NC?
Yes. We design and install dedicated theaters and media rooms in Highlands. The project is custom quoted after we walk the house. We do not publish a price range.
Where does the equipment go?
In a dry, conditioned closet. Highlands houses deal with damp summers and cold winters, and many sit empty. An unheated crawl space is a bad place for a rack.
Is a TV mount the same thing?
No. A straightforward TV installation is a service call at $149 an hour plus a $50 trip charge, and a typical mount takes one to two hours. A theater or a media room is a larger, custom-quoted project.
Who do I call?
Call Ryan at (706) 982-3327, Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM.

Type of work
Project photos (optional, but they help a lot)

Photos help us a lot. If you want the fastest, most accurate quote, send photos of the spaces or equipment you're asking about: the room, the wall where the TV goes, your current rack or router, the outside of the house.

Up to 15 photos, 25 MB each. iPhone (HEIC) photos are fine.

    Floor plans (optional)

If you have floor plans, send them. Plans let us do much more, and they often give us a near-instant idea of scope. Large files are fine.
